Algebra
Linear equations, linear functions, systems of equations, and linear inequalities. Preparation should emphasize translating relationships into equations and solving them efficiently.
The digital SAT Math section tests a defined set of algebra, advanced math, data-analysis, geometry, and trigonometry skills. A strong study plan separates those skills, identifies which ones need work, and then practices them until the process becomes reliable.
Linear equations, linear functions, systems of equations, and linear inequalities. Preparation should emphasize translating relationships into equations and solving them efficiently.
Equivalent expressions and nonlinear equations and functions, including quadratics, exponentials, polynomials, radicals, and related structures.
Ratios, rates, percentages, data interpretation, probability, statistics, and reasoning from samples or studies.
Area and volume, lines and angles, triangles, right-triangle trigonometry, and circles.
College Board currently gives students 70 minutes for 44 Math questions, divided into two 35-minute modules. That averages a little under 1 minute 36 seconds per question, but individual questions vary. Early preparation should prioritize reliable reasoning; timed work becomes more useful once the underlying process is stable.
Test-format facts are based on College Board's current digital SAT structure and Math specifications. SATprep.io is an independent educational product and is not endorsed or sponsored by College Board.
If prior testing is available, SATprep.io can use it as one source of evidence. The diagnostic then confirms current performance, and subsequent practice updates the learning path as mastery changes.
